Established in 2000, the College of International Education (CIE) is a self-funded unit of the Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU), offering full-time Associate Degree (AD), Higher Diploma (HD) and Undergraduate (UG) Honours Degree Programmes at the Shek Mun (Shatin) campus. It is a major education providing unit of the School of Continuing Education (SCE), one of the Faculties/Schools of HKBU. CIE currently enrolls over 3,500 students and is committed to the University’s mission of providing quality whole-person higher education with a Christian heritage. English is used as the medium of instruction at the College. Applications are now invited for the following position:
Assistant Executive Officer (Ref. No.: 24250142)
The appointee will be primarily responsible for coordinating counter services, managing inquiries, and providing administrative support for various campus operations. This includes preparing examination materials, liaising with users regarding venue booking requirements, and undertaking additional ad hoc duties as needed. The appointee is required to perform shift duties on a two-shift basis from 08:00 to 18:30 according to service needs.
Requirements:
- (i) Holder of Associate Degree / Higher Diploma with preferably 2 years of relevant experience; OR (ii) Possession of HKCEE 5 passes including English Language (at least Grade C if Syllabus A/Level 2 from 2007) and Chinese Language (at least Level 2 from 2007), or at least 5 subjects attaining Level 2 in HKDSE including English Language and Chinese Language with more work experience;
- Ability to work independently, good communication skills, service-oriented, and self-motivated with positive work attitude;
- Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese;
- Familiarity in MS Office applications; and
- Experience in campus support or counter operation will be an advantage.
The initial appointment for the above post will be made on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
