HKBU School of Continuing Education hosts its 1st Undergraduate Research Symposium

The School of Continuing Education (SCE) hosted its first Undergraduate Research Symposium on 3 June 2019 on Shek Mun Campus to provide a cross-disciplinary platform for students and academics of different Departments and Schools/Faculties to network, share views, exchange knowledge and cultivate cross-domain collaborative research links.
Organised by the School’s Research Management Committee (RMC), the Symposium commenced with welcome and introductory remarks by Prof Ronald CHUNG, Dean of SCE, followed by a keynote address by Prof Kara CHAN of HKBU’s School of Communication (COMM) on “For the Love of the Game". It also showcased some of the high-quality research projects undertaken by the students through a poster presentation session. In recognition of their efforts, the Best Presentation Awards were given to the five most outstanding students/student teams, namely CHENG Tsz Nok and WONG Yuen Yu [Year 4, BSc (Hons) in Integrated Communication Management], CHEUNG Cheuk Yiu and NG Ming Oi [Year 4, BCom (Hons) in Human Resources Management], SHEK Siu Min [Year 4, BSc (Hons) in Psychology], LAI Shu Ning [Year 4, BSc (Hons) in Psychology], and CHAN Hoi Ying [Year 4, BSc (Hons) in Sport and Recreation Leadership], among a total of 32 presenters.
The event attracted over 60 faculty members and students from seven undergraduate programmes across various disciplines.
