Assistant Executive Officer (PR & Communication) (Ref. No.: 23240708)

 

The School of Continuing Education, one of the eight Faculties/Schools of the University and a major provider of continuing and professional education in Hong Kong, offers a wide range of full-time and part-time programmes at the post-secondary, undergraduate and postgraduate levels for young learners and working adults. It also offers in-house training and short courses to meet the community needs and market demands. Operated on a self-financed basis, the School and its College of International Education currently employ about 400 full-time staff and 550 part-time instructors. The Public Relations and Communication Section of the School invites applications for the following position to support multimedia design and PR and communication activities.

 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day operational and administrative support for Multimedia Design / PR & Communication Section;
  • Co-ordinate internal design requests and liaise with suppliers and users throughout the production process;
  • Maintain a library of design and production items;
  • Handle procurement and office administration;
  • Responsible for event liaison and set up, as well as logistic support for ceremonies, visits and seminars, etc.

 

Requirements:

  • Higher Diploma/Associate Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications or Design related disciplines, with at least 3 years of relevant experience; or Degree holder with at least 1 year of relevant experience;
  • Experience in office administration is preferred;
  • Knowledge of design and production process;
  • Proficiency in design software (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign) and/or photography and videography will be an advantage;

 

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for proficiency test.

 

Initial appointment for the above post will be made on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.

 

Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
