SCHOOL OF CONTINUING EDUCATION

 

The School of Continuing Education, one of the eight Faculties/Schools of the University and a major provider of continuing and professional education in Hong Kong, offers a wide range of full- and part-time programmes at the post-secondary, undergraduate and postgraduate levels for young learners and working adults. It also offers in-house training and short courses to meet the community needs and market demands. Operated on a self-financed basis, the School and its College of International Education currently employ about 400 full-time staff and 500 part-time instructors. The School is inviting applications for the following position:

 

Administrative Assistant (Ref. No.: 23240791)

 

The appointee will be required to provide logistic and administrative support for the day-to-day operation of the Headquarters. Duties may include: a) providing counter services and handling enquiries; b) handling incoming and outgoing mails; c) replenishment of office supplies; d) inventory record maintenance; e) assisting in monitoring the repair and maintenance, cleaning and hygienic conditions of the office; and f) coordinating any services related to facilities management operations as assigned.

 

Requirements:

  • HKCEE 5 passes including English Language (at least grade C if Syllabus A / Level 2 from 2007), or at least 5 subjects attaining Level 2 in HKDSE including English Language and Chinese Language, or Yi Jin graduates;
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience;
  • Proficiency in computer application skills;
  • Strong sense of responsibilities; service-oriented and self-motivated;
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Attentive to details and good organizational skills; and
  • Able to work collaboratively and independently.

 

The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.

 

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
